Not looking forward to extreme heat

In Fort William (max temp today 21C) this evening and off to Mallaig tomorrow (max temp forecast 16C). Hope it's cooling down a bit where you all are too. 

Are you doing the steam train over the Glenfinnan viaduct? Mallaig is lovely if it's not too windy! Fort William feels like it's made up of industry and guest houses!

We watched the train go over it but even better was time spent on the beach at Morar. Got to Mallaig and waved at the islands (next time!). Fort William is a useful base but not a destination...

I was upset to read your reply by its criticism of Llandudno. It was a happy place for my mum and I, and before that she and her sisters and their relatives went there for many happy holidays. None of us were or are wealthy, mum was a dinner lady, my dad a factory worker in Leicester and soldier in WW2. My aunts likewise were ordinary people, many from the midlands country villages being bakers, butchers and labourers, and all took holidays there. 

Please be more kind in your replies, think about your words and the potential they have for harm. It probably wasn’t your intention but you have ruined my day, triggered me back over an edge into sadness and possibly depression. I love Llandudno, we went there to commemorate what would have been mum’s 100th birthday, took the train, enjoyed the views, the Great Orme, beaches and architecture. it was a beautiful happy day, but your cruel words about our special place has brought me to tears.

Im struggling to combat suicidal thoughts as the moderators have noticed and you have pushed me backwards with your criticism. 

Mum was a simple country lady who believed in simple kindness, always thought before she spoke, and was the most loved mum anyone could have. Sometimes my memories of our good times are all that keep me going and you have disrespected them. 

Anyway Im switching off notifications from this thread, I don’t wish to hear more of your negativity on so many subjects.
