The Complete Guide to Aspergers - Tony Attwood and for female aspies.... twirling naked in the street and no one noticed...both available in pdf... google it x... read both last week

The classic is the book by Marc Segar.  My favourite.

Would someone be able to recommend a downloadable PDF book online?

I discovered autism less than a year ago and I am still trying to understand everything.

I am interested in something like an autobiographical book where all the possible autistic traits and the experiences would be discussed by an adult male.

I have never read a large book about the autistic people.

I am looking for the first best book for me.

I second Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome. I have read this and although I was an adult woman when I read it, I found it very helpful. It speaks very much from experiance rather than i the form of a text book and actually manages to invoke a few laughs along the way, making Aspergers seem much lighter that most others.

I recommend Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome, a user guide to Adolescence, by Luke Jackson. Although this book is targeted at a young audience, adults can still get a lot out of this book as I found out myself.  Luke writes a lot about his own personal experience of living with AS.

Life Behind Glass, A Personal Account of Autism Spectrum Disorder, written by Wendy Lawson, is a slim book that is a good read.

Temple Grandin's Thinking In Pictures is another good autobiography and is the most often cited book for people interested in ASD.
