Watching the repeats of Life on Earth and also repurchased the book. Still not lost its magic.
I recently saw Toy Story 5.
It was good! Like, a lot better than I thought it would be! I really liked how they made Jessie the main character in it this time!
In a way, Jessie and Lilypad's dynamic is played very similarly to Buzz and Woody's in the first film!
I’m currently watching “I Used To Be Famous” really good autism film on Netflix.
Worth a Watch!xx
You can also easily get them on compilation titles like Sega Mega Drive Classic Collection and Sonic Origins as well
Wow! Just next year! huh!
Just checked and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is at the cinema on March 19th 2027. I'll watch for that one when it comes out on such as Amazon Prime.
I used to love playtng Sonic Games on Sega Mega Drive and Master System way back in the 90's. You can still get them to play on PC but you need an Emulator for them.
Having got Amazon Prime I like to watch films on there. Sometimes I watch Films I've seen before. Mostly I go for anything to do with Avation Films like the Airport Films or Airplane or even the airplane disaster films. I used to watch Aircrash Investigation which ok I know some people would say I'm a bit morbid watching people go their deaths etc. I also like Horror films haivng watched quite a lot of those in the past like Dracula etc in the days of Peter Cushion and Vincent Price. I also like Action and Adventure films.
2005 Pride and prejudice is an utter masterpiece
I think if we delved too far into authors' lives, we wouldn't read anything. But if it's a serious issue, I would be hesitant about reading the works, particularly if I was feeling vulnerable. I find I can only watch a narrow range when I'm in a certain frame of mind. For instance, I used to love Cllint Eastwood's films but can't watch them now.
Thanks for this - it sounds like a difficult but interesting 'watch.'
Ive watched this fairly recently too plus Ive several of his books of poetry. His war poems are the most well known and rightly so. Im uncomfortable with his turn to Catholicism at the end of his life, mainly as (personal opinion) it is a toxic, abusive and hypocritical belief system, you are though correct in that the film didn’t explore this aspect well.
The catholicism of some writers I enjoy is an ongoing problem for me, Im thinking particularly of Graham Greene and T.S.Eliot. It is that age old conundrum of can we separate the art from the artist?. On balance I feel we must as not to leads to book burning then so often to the burning (literal or metaphor) of people. Additionally we need to read both sides of every coin to understand its message

The worse thing about films is I dont seem to register everything that is said, so if it is conversation heavy, I miss out. I also can get a wave of uncontrollable tiredness that I cant shake off and nod. The best are probably action films where you can pick up whats happening
The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins are really good - I remember when I used to stay at my Grandparents I'd always ask them to put them on!
