I like going to the antique auction house, it's like a massive charity shop, but theres rarely anything I want. Our charity shops are awful, full of rubbish and new stuff, they ship all the good stuff off to other places where they think they can get more money for it. I think this does a great disservice to the people here many of whom are in low paid, insecure work and would benefit from being able to buy good quality clothes cheaply. That's of course when they will accept donations, one place you have to make an appointment to donate stuff and they go through it and decide if it's "good enough", which considering the rubbish they sell seems a bit rich and insulting.
It's great how many hidden gems you can find at those
I've got good books from charity shops before, plus nice ornaments
:) Thank you. My lego sorting is on going. Nice seeing different shape pieces and cheaper than buying the sets. Think its a mixure of Lego and lego friends and classic. Ages ago I donated some lego to a lego club which a local charity was starting up. Think got some ideas already.
