Games that are good for autistics and other nuerodivergents

This is just an idea I've been thinking about for a long time, but I often feel like there are video games that innately appeal to autistics and other nuerodivergents due to the gameplay providing a form of positive mental stimulation to certain synapses relating to puzzling, logic, or just fun. Mostly RPGs and perhaps a couple fighting games I feel fall into these categories. I also just love it when games have hidden mechanics or secret little tricks you can use (I.E. Super Smash Bros. Melee with L-Cancelling and Wave Dashing) which I think can be attributed to my autism.

  • I play Ark survival Ascended (I also played evolved before they brought Ascended out) and it's clear from the dev teams, player base and youtubers that the game seems to attract heavy numbers of autistics, in my opinion. I think the stat aspect for breeding and mutating dinosaurs is something that autistics enjoy, (including me!) plus it's a more PVE heavy game rather than PVP. Autistics seem more inclined to the PVE roleplay aspects of the game I would say, as opposed to most other survival games that are more PVP heavy.
