rewatching programmes etc

Anyone else rewatch programmes they like even if they're from their childhood as it comforts them?

  • There are certain things that if they are repeated on TV that I will rewatch, Father Ted being the prime example. I do occasionally rewatch an entire show when I just get the idea that is like to see it all again. I don't think it's because I searching for comfort, it's more of a reminder on why I enjoyed it the first time.

I do have comfort movies which I have seen multiple times, some are genuinely fun like The Princess Bride or Little Shop of Horrors, others like The Thing (1982 version) just tickles my brain, the musical score is just so familiar.

For me rewatching childhood things as a adult just exposes their flaws and I'd rather keep those (very) limited memories intact.
