I often feel like a fish in a tree

Out of place and away from my natural element. Now I'm thinking what tree am I in? I think I'm in a weeping willow tree, I'm on dry land, but sometimes have my feet in the water and my branches trail into the flow that is other peoples lives, I feel them, but don't really engage

Anyone else feel like this and what's your tree?

  • A Rowan tree. The berries are bright yet there is a bitterness which represents my diffficulties in earlier life. But the berries make a wonderful jelly which is savoury and sweet - that too represents how I learned to live with the past and made use of its lessons. The Rowan stands upright and weathers storms, so it bodes well for the future. Good question
