Toothpaste

Toothpaste. Has anyone managed to find a toothpaste that doesn’t taste absolutely horrible? I used to use a Colgate Total toothpaste (which did taste unpleasant) but then they recently changed the recipe and it became much more horrible. I’ve since been trying lots of others and I hate them all.For example a Sensodyne Repair and Protect that has the most appalling texture. Lots of the, I’ve tried and they’re all horrible. Plus they are so expensive that trying different ones and not liking them is costing me a lot of money.  So I thought I’d ask on here to see if anyone has any recommendations.
When my children were very young they had a very nice strawberry flavoured toothpaste. So why can’t there be a toothpaste for adults that isn’t always minty or just horrible tasting? We’ve put a man on the moon so why can’t we make a toothpaste that tastes and feels nice?

  • I just use Colgate total. I think the texture has changed too. The flavour has changed a couple times I think. I am not sure if it is intentional, I thought it was just me. I find it fairly inoffensive.

I seem to be allergic to the Sensodyne stuff, after a couple of days it irritates the inside of my lips. It's done it twice, so I think it is the cause.

  • I have some of them give me a slight burning sensation too. It struck me that it’s something we use everyday and yet I haven’t got a clue what’s in these things. Some of them have a horrible chemical taste (to me anyway). I’m surprised no company produces a great tasting toothpaste because if they did it would sell like hot cakes.
