Whats your favourite cake?

I need to stay off this feed. Red velvet cake, prpOper death by chocolate, Black Forest Gateau, or enriched doughs Pannettone or stollen. With clotted cream ice cream.

Oohh black forest gateau, I'm fond of one of those. I've made a black forest trifle too, with chocolate sponge cherry jam and jelly with plenty of cream on top.

I'm not a fan of things like pannetone, I know yeated cakes are very popular, but I find them a bit heavy and chewy. I don't think I've ever had red velvet cake, the colour puts me off.

Coffee and walnut cake I quite like, although I'm not a massive fan of butter cream.

I do make quite a bit of bread pudding when my sons around as its one of his favourites, my recipe comes from one of Keith Floyds books, I think it was his mums?

The other cake I like is a good ginger cake, I make one every year at xmas, I might get a slice if I'm lucky, it's another one that good hot with cream or icecream.

I had to turn off all notifications it was getting too much. All of these things ginger cake, jamaica cake, carrot cake they all need to be moist for me to be into this. I am quite partial to malt loaf. Butter cream  Extra thick whipped cream in Victoria sponge 

Bread and butter pudding (with raisins) I love, mostly for the topping though.
