Confusion around sexuality

I wasn’t sure what thread to put this under as I haven’t used the website on here in a while. I’ve been questioning my sexuality, I’m a  21 year old female and i haven’t dated properly but i find myself drawn to the same sex.

The problem is I can’t tell if I’m attracted to the opposite sex or due to the fact it’s difficult for me to identity what emotions I’m feeling, i just convince myself i am. 

I am not so sure how to approach this issue.

  • I think it’s can be helpful to let go of the idea that we need to make some kind of ‘decision’ in regards to who we might or might not be attracted to. People are people - and does their gender really matter that much when it comes to attraction? I think we are drawn to certain people and it’s often kind of mysterious why we connect with some people and not others. So maybe let go of the need to define who you are or are not attracted to? Everyone is an individual- everyone is unique, if you can just go with the flow and accept how you feel without the need to create categories around gender and sexual orientation. Free yourself from the need to do that if you feel that would be helpful :)
