My pooter's being weird again

A few times recently when I've switched it on without me doing anything, it's gone straight to the internet and sometimes it's choosing the site I want to visit. Is this spooky? Or has someone slipped me a neural net whilst I wasn't looking? Does Elon Musk need to eat his heart out with envy? And as always, why me? Why does this weird stuff always happen to me?

  • I get this with an HP computer I have - it switches on when the voltage fluctuates slightly (eg lightening strike in the area) and it starts itself up. I just leave it unplugged now.

As for the web browser - it sounds like the web browser did not close properly and it tries to go back the the last web page you were on. It may be worth checking by clicking in the 3 parallel lines on the top right of the screen and seeing if there is a entry there to update Firefox (I think you said this is your browser before).

Let it update and restart the browser and it should be in a better state of health.

Why does this weird stuff always happen to me?

It isn't just you. I spent 32 yours fixing stuff and running departments who fixes stuff like this - all tech is buggy so will always need support of some kind.

Admittedly you are an earthing rod to all the tech demons out there but there are normally answers to be found.
