It's gone all orange and tastes powdery, artificial and almost medicinal.
Has the way it can be used changed too?

So, on a hunch, I asked Google. We perhaps might not be surprised that it says the answer lies in marketing reasons...
Apparently the new colour scheme reflects a more anticipatory mental state...
Either some marketing guru making a packet for nowt OR (and I strongly suspect this myself) they've done the research and found some evidence to support it.
For a business of that crazy size even a 0.5% boost to business by doing so makes crazy amounts of money...

As in traffic light orange? I had thought the orange was for political reasons.

I've not heard this before - can you explain please?
Ha ha, well yes, Trump has said himself that he likes the colour of his tan.
Increasing numbers of organisations have become overtly political in the last decades, and they display colours through signs and symbols. I have learned that not everyone connects colours to organisations, countries and political parties, so here are some flags displaying orange, although it doesn’t include all examples of orange used in the US and around the world.
I don’t follow football but I can’t help seeing football & Gaelic (game) flags too. I’m hyper aware of the colours of these & of other signs and symbols too.
Those were my thoughts when I first saw an orange Amazon.
