What are you currently watching?

I thought it would be nice to know what other people are watching.

For me, I'm watching My Love Story (anime), Gilmore Girls (American TV show) for the millionth time lol, and They Kiss Again (Taiwan TV show). I also like to watch Twitch VODs, and BTS lives and videos.

I have some other shows I'm watching that I've kind of put on hold as well because I always start new series that are of more interest to me, but I always try to go back and finish them.

Parents
  • I’m watching Winterwatch on BBC this week.

This winter the series is being filmed from Mount Stewart Estate in N. Ireland. The weather has been wet and windy this week and it doesn’t look like it will improve much before the series ends tomorrow night. Nevertheless, the weather hasn’t put off red squirrels, pine martens, badgers, curlews, brent geese and lots more.

I went for a long walk around Mount Stewart with my dogs today and was lucky enough to spot a goldcrest at an area where otters sometimes come up the river.

  • That is so cool, it's great as you can see what there is on the show and cameras and then go for a walk and try spot stuff yourself!

I remember we happened to visit slimbridge when they were filming one year, and happened to bump into Michela in the shop. My brother-in-law started chatting to her (I couldn't do that), she was funny and friendly.

I missed the rest of the week, I'll have to catch up!

  • Great you bumped into Michaela. I would have liked to have seen her and the team during my visit but I probably wouldn’t have spoken to her either.

I saw the teepee and what looked like miles of cable around estate, camera traps and three of the locations with the live camera feeds that are online and iplayer for most of each day this week. I encountered only two couples and one other person during my five mile walk (lots of stops to enjoy the wildlife) of over three hours.

Children
  • That sounds blissful, what a great opportunity to see it all in real life! It looks like such a lovely place! I'll have to add it to my wishlist of places to visit.

Before we had kids, we used to really enjoy going to various nature reserves and sitting in hides. We went to bird fair at Rutland water a few times too (where we went to a really fascinating lecture on moths). Not something you can do with kids though (they like walks but not so much the sitting in hides too long). I got a really wonderful pair of binoculars for my 40th last year, so looking forward to using them more -wildlife would be my number 1 thing to watch!
