Is the mind separate from the soul? (Heavy topic)

Just been watching a neurosurgeon named Michael Egnor make a convincing argument that the soul is not something that exists inside the human brain. He states that tests have been conducted on those with brain abnormalities such as having a split brain or those in comas, the results were not what you’d expect. This tests concluded that there was something else at play with some patients and this couldn’t be explained even by the professionals carrying out the tests. It points to a soul/being operating outside of the brains function. Watch the video below, it’s extremely interesting.

  • I was interested in what he was saying but I think he is making an argument for a personal opinion, rather than conducting tests and observations within scientifically accepted guidelines.

I searched online for reviews of his work, and found he rejects evolutionary theory but his argument for dualism and intelligent design is flawed. So it seems that theologians and scientists have rejected his arguments.
