Is the mind separate from the soul? (Heavy topic)

I find intelligent design flawed in so many ways whereas evolution is right, if maybe not as Darwin first described.

I was interested in what he was saying but I think he is making an argument for a personal opinion, rather than conducting tests and observations within scientifically accepted guidelines.

I searched online for reviews of his work, and found he rejects evolutionary theory but his argument for dualism and intelligent design is flawed. So it seems that theologians and scientists have rejected his arguments. 

I think they are seperate but not entirely so whilst we are incarnate, I think the way we access the divine is mediated through our brains, the temporal lobe in particular. I believe that when we die, our soul continues but it takes with it a lot of the things we've experienced in this incarnation and incorporates it and takes that learning on to our next incarnation. Obviously we don't take everything with us, unless I was last incarnated before the times table were invented or something, lol. But I do believe we take whats important, even though we may not be conciously aware of what it is whilst we are incarnate.

I thought the soul was just a metaphorical term to be honest.

My thoughts are the mind is in charge of movement and correction of senses and the soul is an energy in charge of considered and sense of self
