I would suggest the character of Spock from Star Trek. Logic, issues with emotional interpretation and somewhat literal interpretation of situations... I'm of a (hehe somewhat) older generation and I certainly found and still find Spock relatable. An excellent positive role model.
I watched "Astrid et Raphaëlle" as "Murder in Paris" at a period when beginning and going thro' my diagnosis period. I could see a lot of myself in that too...
It is interesting how we merge our perception of others into ourselves. i learn that this is called "self-other-mergence". Difficult as it is to have a true sense of self because of biases and perhaps masking, mirroring and projection I have ongoing difficulties in this area. Is it possible that the behaviour we see portrayed in media of autism can become us as much as become revealed? Like saying to someone "don't look at my nose" we may be drawn to identify and amplify aspects of autism portrayed?
For this reason "warts and all" and stereotypical portrayals at least to start with combined with positive role models as presented in the media are beneficial. I think that what is described as "character development" including and developing subtle nuances is also something that may be especially useful. Maybe why I like Astrid so much.
Not necessarily good TV or film however It would be interesting and perhaps valuable for autistic and neurotypical society for a series that tracks what happens to people of different ages and backgrounds with different support as they go through their autistic lives...
I really enjoyed The Bridge too — I thought the characters were so interesting. Definitely the best thing I've seen on TV.
I men’s dress sense im all of them apart from Howard I mean I will wear turtle necks but not like those
i do war a lot of band and show shirts though it expresses me
insorn have the routine that bad that I need to make contracts
indonknow a lot of the random facts they all know
I love Atypical too and was really surprised that some people gave it a negative press.
Astrid
(Original title: Astrid et Raphaëlle - 2019).
UK Channel 4 Digital.
"French crime drama from Walter Presents.
Rule-breaking detective Raphaëlle Coste and autistic archivist Astrid Nielsen work together to investigate puzzling crimes."
(In French with English Subtitles).
The lead character in the TV series (no idea if it follows the book in this) 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder', Pippa Fitz-Amobi, comes across as autistic, or is at least autistic coded. A good little series. In my opinion, American actor Emma Myers produces a flawless southern English, middle-class accent.
Ooh! I loved The Bridge (Bron). Saga Norén is one of my all-time favourite TV characters. Completely unmasked AS.
I have Atypical on my watch list on [forgot name of streaming service]. I must get stuck into it one of these days.
Just finished season 8 of Rick and Morty. My son and I are huge fans. It's genius. Not for the fainthearted, though.

Of all of these Atypical is my favourite as it charts the characters move through high school and into college with all the challanges that I remember along the way.
For just entertainment I think Rick And Morty although it is very adult themed and rude to say the least.
I always related more to Leonard than Sheldon. Others think I'm more like Sheldon, of course.
Sheldon to some extent though it’s never confirmed it autism and it’s a bit over exadurated
Jane I think jermain from flight of the concords may be autistic
