Origami shapes called "bloom patterns" - for future spacecrafts

In case there are any origami devotees / spacecraft fans here!

My origami experience has yet to address this bloom pattern challenge - has anyone attempted producing an origami bloom pattern such as these?

  • Last time I did origami was back in lockdown when I got Paper Mario The Origami King, the game came with origami sheets and I managed to fold all but the princess peach one. Folding little Olly and Olivia were my favourites smiling face with hearts shame I couldn’t bring them to life haha 

  • I always used to be impressed with how items were wrapped in Japan.

    I think origami has been looked at for a long time by NASA and others for deployable structures.

    I have not seen or tried creating a flower.

    Another thing that has been considered but not used yet (I think) is memory metals, which change shape when heated.
