I wouldn't want to be a dog, but if I really had to choose I think it would be a greyhound, who is adopted by a quiet kind older woman. Being able to run really fast sounds good, but when they're not having a sprint they are couch potatoes, like me!

You forgot the other characteristic of Greyhounds, thieving, they are terrible thieves, you can't leave anything even vaguely edible around, Dogglet even tried eating powdered mash from the packet!
