Just thinking the other day about a song or a piece of music that you really relate to or seems capture you as a person?

Mine is Disney's Hercules the main song called I will go the distance, I like the tune and its my favourite Disney film, but its the lyrics....first verse copied below (hopefully I will not invoke the wrath of the forum gods)....

"I have often dreamed
Of a far of place
Where a great, warm, welcome
Will be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer

  • A bunch of different songs pop up in my head when thinking about this and my life has only just begun, but I think that “Isabel” by Isabel Pless (even though my name‘s not Isabel) would be it. Here‘s the beginning:

    I've been tryin' to find time to find myself again
    I've been playin' with the tendons in my hands
    I've been tryin' to learn how to be my own person
    Instead of trying to be interesting

    It was never up to me anyway
