Angry day

Hi Smile

So basically, I woke up fine and made breakfast for my family (which is unusual as I usually panic about cooking but I decided to try) and I don't mind going to the shops to get stuff. But only when I'm told in advance. Generally, the previous day in advance, or I just feel like it throws my whole day out the window because its something I haven't incorporated into it. I feel like my family don't understand in that they more think I am being lazy rather than it really throws me off my 'routine' as it suddenly makes me feel like I am really busy and I guess I overwhelm myself and panic. Because of this, I spent basically the rest of the day feeling angry and not speaking but I don't really get how to change that.

Does anyone have any tips on how I could maybe go to the shops at shorter notice or not get exceedingly angry at others and go into 'mute' mode because of changes in routine?

  • Are we talking about a solo mission to a shop, or a group outing? I find online shopping and solo missions are fine, and a good way to avoid group outings, although sometimes the motivation for the latter is not so much to buy things, more 'fun' (for other people!). Similarly, it's worth knowing whether there's a genuine urgent need for something from the shop or whether your family is enjoying being spontaneous. (I hate spontaneity.) So fwiw I would say you need to get across what you need and understand what others need, in the reasonable hope that there's a solution that satisfies both.
