My movie picks of the week - Free Guy and The Hobbit

I watched Free Guy on channel 4 catchup last night and enjoyed it, but now it's unavailable so I can't recommend it to others to watch unfortunately. Today I got half way through watching the first Hobbit movie (An unexpected Journey). I'm not a Lord of the rings fan, but I found myself getting into this film. It's visually really impressive.

If anyone has seen Free Guy, please let me know what you thought of it. I thought the story of a video game non player character who develops into an AI and starts making his own decisions about what he's going to do a really interesting one. Jodie Comer was great in the female lead.

    A sci-fi with Natalie Portman, very good cinematic bit towards the end - the short description off IMDB "A biologist and former soldier joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X - a sinister and mysterious phenomenon"

    I was just looking for something watchable - which this is, not in the league of "Alien" but it's half decent and I enjoyed it, for killing 2 hours.  Its a film you can either just switch off and watch or perhaps think about some of its meaning
