My "Film of the week" is Yes Man, available on ITVX. I'll post a review later or tomorrow.

  • My review of Yes Man:

The overriding idea in this film was that people should say yes to things more, so that they can live a fuller life. It follows a guy (played by Jim Carrey) who is sad and reluctant to do anything because he got divorced, then with the encouragement of a friend he attends a seminar where the speaker tells them to say yes to everything, so he makes a covenant with himself to start saying yes to everything. Lots of unexpected things happen, some good, some bad, but the acting is good and it has a satisfying ending. I enjoyed it - 8/10.

It does make you think about whether you should have said yes to things more. Does anyone have any thoughts about that?

Please post your own reviews of anything you've watched this week on this thread.

    Happy Goggling!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it Blush

Having rewatched it I enjoyed it again, I had forgotten some bits like his version of Jumper when trying to talk the suicidal guy down. Very funny.

It is a film that really makes you wonder about things, like opportunities and whether you should say yes and what might come from that... Then again he did experience a lot of bad stuff and trauma throughout so maybe not Laughing
