Expensive items

I can't help feeling that £80 for sunglasses was a bad deal. Specsavers roped me in for a deal with my normal glasses with transition lenses.

Looking back though I've bought a few expensive items and then felt cheated a bit later on.

Some of my not so good expensive purchases

  • Terracotta plant pot bundle £88.12
  • Farmhouse wooden chair and table set £215
  • Monster High doll series 1 £270 - ps. my parents said this was a bad deal I thought it was a bargain.
  • Leather seats for my Peugeot to replace the gross cloth material seats the car came with £400

What expensive items have you bought before?

Parents
  • Too many to mention, now again and I make an impulsive purchase, most of the time I spend a long time researching everything and agonising over whether I should or not......coats for some bizarre reason, recently bought a leather jacket for about £350 trying to relive my youth! Only wore it a couple of times as I find it too heavy and warm!

  • I've never had much money, unless I set out with a specific purchase in mind, if I see something I quite like, I put it back and walk away and have a think about what I prefer the company of that object or the company of my money? 8 times out of 10 I've either forgotton all about the object which proves how unimportant it was, or I've decided against it. I have to do this in charity shops, book shops and auctions or I'd have a home full of tat, well I do have a home full of tat, but it's not my tat, it's other peoples.
