NAS post containing helpful links sent me to moderation

Yesterday someone wrote a post entitled 'I'm in mental agony'

I decided, in haste, to copy & paste the NAS support page in response, which resulted in my reply (and everything else I posted) being sent to the moderation queue for a time.

I'd completely forgotten the last post about repetition kicking off the filter, and that C&P was really full of repetitive phrases.

But here's the irony.   I'd copied the exact wording from an NAS post to help someone who appeared to be in crisis, and wasn't ALLOWED to post it because it looked like it might be spam.

So I get temporarily stood-down, and the person in need gets no help.

*This is a support forum, in case anyone has forgotten.

In fairness, I did email the Community Manager, and yes, the mess was sorted out swiftly - but this is what we are up against.

I have my fingers crossed that the message I sent will be considered by other people this time, who perhaps have the power to invest & change the way this forum is structured !!

  • That happened to me a while ago - I created a reply to someone asking for help and put 5 links to NAS advice and guidance pages and was put into moderation and not allowed to post until it was released. When I emailed the community manager they suggested that putting a lot of links into a post could trigger the moderation process. I can understand this if people are putting links to external websites, as it's a way of keeping spam out, but it doesn't recognise its own website page links!
