Childhood toy

If you could own and play with one of your childhood toys you owned, which would it be?

I would get Barbie Magic of the Rainbow Elina Doll from 2006. I got this one Xmas from my mum and dad and it became my fave toy ever! I played with her every second I could and took her in to my school show and tell every time we had a show and tell….I treasured her. In the end my mum gave her away to a jumble sale because I was too “old” to play with dolls. I was so upset. I’m in my 20s now and still buy and play with dolls, but if I ever find Rainbow Elina again at a good price I’ll buy her in a heartbeat.

To say I was heartbroken when mine was given away is an understatement!

Parents
  • My horse stable and all my biscuit tins of horses. Or my farm and all the biscuit tins of animals, I remember being ale to go to the toy shop and buy individual bits and pieces, not just animals, but tree's, fences, gates and hedges.

  • Although my dog money box tin kennel was my favourite toy, I had horses too, and a farm with cattle, pigs, sheep and trees, all kept in a biscuit tin. I tended to play with toy animals and real animals, and I also enjoyed racing toy cars on a track and building things with Lego. I sometimes built things with a construction toy that was pretty much like Meccano, I think it was Swedish. I didn’t play with dolls except a bit with Sindy’s sister who was possibly called Patch, because she had a pony. I loved my teddy bear and still have him.
