23 year old son

Hi trying to find parents with an "adult" child with aspergers, our son is 23 yrs.  He was employed until a couple of weeks ago , we had a workplace assessment done by the NAS and they suggested 12 recommendations be put in place.  Unfortunately his employers have refused to put any adjustments in place and now ..... have sacked him for being not capable of doing his job.  

Has anyone else come across any similar problems with employers. ??

  • Liam is 23 years old and has been employed by the same employer for just over 3 years, he was taken on following a work experience placement from Frairbridge. They changed his role aprox 18 months after this and then said he was making mistakes and tried to sack him.  We realised at this point that we needed to get a formal diagnosis and did so. Liam then had a workplace assessment done.

    Cutting a long story short his very short sighted employers seem to not believe that he has a disability and have not tried to make any effort to put any adjustments in place.  He ended up off on sick due to bullying from them and then they sacked him.
