  • To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
  • To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Word processor

Can anyone recomend me a good word processor, I'm ready to start wrting the first chapter of my book and I don't seem to have a word processor program, I've not used one for about 15 years and that was on windows XP, I just about coped with that one and would like something similar and easy to use.

Sorry I know its hard recomending tech to me as most of it just goes over my head, but any contributions would be gratefully recieved

  • I use Word from Office 365 and also Excel as that allows me to create character sheets, and locations etc.

    However when I first started writing I used Libreoffice - https://www.libreoffice.org/ - it;s a free piece of writing software, not perfect (what is?) ^^ but it's easy to use + free which was ideal for me at the time. I was just reading on their site there's also extensions for Libreoffice now so you might be able to get some free extras for it as well?

    Not 100% sure though as I'm not very techy lol. Hope this helps! Good luck with your writing!
