Noise canceling headphones

I just tried on noise canceling headphones. The noise canceling option works it’s amazing and i can listen to music simultaneously if I want, but it gave me some sort of unpleasant sensation like squeezing in my ears or head, it’s hard to describe it. So I decided to stay with my soft earplugs for few €. They make noises quieter but I still hear things. The only disadvantage of the earplugs is that they don’t fully cancel high pitched sounds like car brakes or tram squeak on the rails for example. Has anyone similar experience with noise canceling headphones? Do you get used to this sensation or is it only me feeling that?

  • I have just got the Anker Q20i and for the money they are good and cut out most of the sound and are very extremely comfortable to wear too.  There's a difference in the audio sound if you switch from "normal" to "noise cancelling"(NC) .  These are the first pair of NC headphones I've had and understand the comment made of feeling under-water when NC is switched on  - for me that's OK compared to hearing noise.  The NC is fairly good when music is off.

  • Thank you, the ones I tried were for music but also with the option for noise cancellation. I have headphones for music and I use them when I want to listen to music. I will See if I can get these under the link, thank you for sharing.
