Don't apologise.  It is interesting.  Thank you for posting this OP.  "Inappropriate" or "disliked" or "not supported by this research, or that research" or "not ok" are over-used and trite statements these days.  We all have a right to be allowed, accommodated, and accepted here.  Opinions matter.

I like this thread, I dont think you wrote anything inappropriate. 

Why appologise? I can't see anything wrong with what you've posted, I think it's a genuine issue for many of us, people usually NT people hear the word "Autism" and assume we're either blithering idiots or rain man. The reality is that most of, like them are completely average, we're very good at what we know and a crap at what we don't, we maybe a bit wiser in that we often admit that we know nothing about a subject instead of pretending we do and being a boring twat.
