Gigs and concerts

If you could see any band or artist, current or historic who would it be.

My historic band would be Joy Division, I was 9 when Ian Curtis died and I've no idea how I came across them really but I'm so glad I did, maybe I stared with New Order and worked backwards.

The current band probably would be the Manchester Orchestra but they don't seem to tour in the UK.

My next planned concert is to see Bear's Den

  • I’ve seen Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite tour a few years ago here in Manchester and I’d definitely go to see Kylie live again as I’ve got a massive Kylie collection of CD’s DVD’s and digital downloads as a huge Kylie fan since my teens in the 80’s - I’ve grown up with her music and I’ve danced to her songs in the gay clubs - given how Kylie is a fluent French speaker from her time living in Paris, she’s inspired me to learn French, as French is my strongest foreign language

  • I bought her Golden cd in 2018 when it came out and have been meaning to get her latest Tension II album but haven't got round to it yet. I like Kylie her music is always fun and fresh.

  • Kylie at age 55 is also a true survivor, like with her struggle with her cancer and she keeps reinventing herself, a survivor in the music industry, which is no easy feat - she’s also got an Irish grandmother in Melbourne and she’s met our Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at government buildings in Dublin - Kylie is the very epitome of style, class and sophistication, which is why she is adored by gay men the world over, myself included
