Gigs and concerts

If you could see any band or artist, current or historic who would it be.

My historic band would be Joy Division, I was 9 when Ian Curtis died and I've no idea how I came across them really but I'm so glad I did, maybe I stared with New Order and worked backwards.

The current band probably would be the Manchester Orchestra but they don't seem to tour in the UK.

My next planned concert is to see Bear's Den

  • Sorry, when I 1st posted, I mistook the thread for a 'what bands/artists have you seen' one (which we have had before + I copy + pasted my reply from).

I'd be interested to know who the OP and anyone else has seen too and also which concert they consider the 'best' for whatever reason.

I hope that adding to your thread is OK?

If not, I shall delete this.

    Thanks.

  • Fine by me, although your list made me feel quite jealous as my concert going as been very limited as I'm not keen on crowds etc.

I was dragged along to see the fine young cannibals, the Christians, the proclaimers, lonely the brave, Jimmy Summerville, James Blunt, the stranglers, U2, the pogues and there's a few comedians doing big tours as well.

U2 were great and very loud, James Blunt was very early in his career when he was touring " back to bedlam"
