Ruling the World

1. If I ruled the world I'd require autism charaties that run events to run events for people like me with out learning disabilities or crippling anxiaty but who have non existant social lives and want to have a good time. No more trips to cafes and shoping centers. Instead clubing, burlesque nights, laser tagging, maid cafes, cosplay events. Bring back mixers and speed dating that a lot of these orgonisations for autistic adults started with. Run a weird science nights. Fun exciting things

2. every club / orgonised social group would have to have an autism inclusion polocy that basicly states they can't exclude autistic people just for being weird or making people uncomfortable. A polocy that explicity says that the autistic persons intent matters regardless of who's feelings were hurt.

3. we'd have comisioned social reserch into the obsticals autistic people face in their romantic / sex lives with a mandate to look at interventions to over come them.

4. boys would get fantastic showy pecock like clothing just like the girls.

5. the gender double standard would disapear and 'boy power' and boys being overtly sexual would be just as aceptable as 'girl power.'

6. ageism would be banned. Young people get cheep car insurance and old people get to go on 18-30s holidays. It would basicly be illegal to ask anyones age except to prove they are over 18.

I think boys can be a flashy with thier clothes as girls now, or at least many of the ones I see are, but then maybe thats more to do with the sort of people I mix with? In the 1700's when chemical dyes were first being developed and used, pink was seen as a colour only suitable for men as it was to strong a colour for delicate female complections!

I must admit that your idea of what would make a good night out aren't the same as mine, I don't want to sit about doing jigsaws in a church hall either.

I take a look at what's sold in the shops and I respectfully disagree. Women have more colours and a lot more cuts and styles in their clothing. For men its all earth tones and beiges. The hoody, t shirt, shirt and sweatshirt are all basicly the same outline. Where is the male equivalent of a tube top or plunging neckline dress? The fact that lingrie for men doesn't really exist outside of sex shops is evedence enough.

I mean for starters I do shop online sometimes. But I am and always have been a city boy. I go down the street and just counting the lingrie stores you have victoria secret, ann summers and honey birdette. Plus the mini alternative shops. Type club wear into amazon. You won't see any options for men. but lots of city shops carry those bright flimsy dresses you'll see girls hoping from club to club in on a saterday night. No offence I'm sure Llanduddno is a lovely place but it isn't really a city. Try wandering down to liverpool sometime and poping into the trendy fashion shops.

Tbh I'd love to make my own stuff but it's far too expensive and time consuming. In fact it's the worst of both worlds. In terms of buying fabric and equipment (principally a sewing machine) it would cost more than having things custom made (based on how much cosplay has cost me in the past) But take far far longer than buying off the peg.

I used to have a friend who made fancy party dresses for female friends as a side hussel. I remember going to a party and she turned up in it but she had it adjusted to make it looser and cover more skin. He went up to her and they had a masive row about her ruinening his hard work. Really making that sort of thing is a labour of love not a buissness and I don't love my own body enough to sink the huge amount of money and time it would take into it. If it were avalable off the peg it might be diferent.
