I love gaming some of the games I like are assassin's creed god of war ghost of Tsushima and sometimes pubg I mostly like games were you can explore with good side quests

I’m what I’ve heard explained as a “dad gamer.” I play most games at either the easiest difficulty or at least the highest one before it starts to feel stressful. Example: Fire Emblem games I almost always play at the easiest, but Smash Bros I tend to set computers at around 7 out of 9 difficulty because I can handle that a little better. When I do play a hard game - like Dark Souls - I tend to go for builds and strategies made by other gamers to make it easier.

I find as I grow older I just want to relax with a good game rather than struggle against it.

I think its a mix for me, all three, i mostly enjoyed the challenge though, i used to spend hours trying to complete them in the past. it takes a bit longer now, you do get hooked, and have the drive to finish each level and move on to the next one, its a mixture of different ones i like, mostly action, fantasy, survival and horror type games.

Gotta do what you love. If people don't love the same things you do they probably aren't the right people for you.

Hi there, I will play just about anything depending on my mood. On my own it tends to be a lot more turn based and card games like slay the spire, monster train or if I crave some social it's usually fallout 76 and POGO. I'm also playing baldurs gate 3, rogue trader and others with my oldest son when he gets the chance.

This thread seems to have got a lot more activity recently - which is great! Then it got me thinking, instead of listing all the games we like to play, I'd be interested to know why we all play. Escapism? Challenge? Fun?

Since I like a variety of types of games, for me I suppose it's a mixture. Just now I was playing Super Mario Wonder because it is quick to play yet provides enough focus and challenge to drive me forward, so at the end of the day I feel like I've achieved something, even if it's small. Longer games I like to be drawn into the experience - like I really am part of the quest taking place. Sometimes I just want silly games, sometimes I want serious games. Ultimately, I guess I really want to feel like I made progress, I'm a completionist.

Rdr2 is one of my favourites as well the story and just everything about it is amazing

i used to look those walkthroughs up, only when it was really challenging though, i managed to figure out most of them after spending a long period time on the game, i remember that piano one, it took me a few shots to figure it out, i liked that series of games because of the challenges, and the story line.

I don't have many cards either. Probably my best one is a holo Charmander from like 2004/5. I own most of the games though, I love them, they never get old. I'm jealous of your daughter as well

I’ve never really actively collected cards, but I’ve got a few. I think the best one I’ve got is an old holographic hitmonlee. I WISH I had Pokémon plushies lol. My daughter has plushies of the Kanto starters and mimikyu and I am so jealous

I played Pokémon on my Nintendo 3DS first. Been hooked on the games ever since! Do you collect the cards as well? I like collecting the plushies, I have an Eevee and Chikorita plushie.

I have to admit that I couldn't solve two or three of them overall, and I had to look for the solutions online. Fortunately, you could fine walkthroughs even back then. I remember one riddle where you had to play a song on a piano... It was so difficult! It was driving me crazy! Haha!

I’m so happy so many people seem to enjoy Pokémon on here. Pokémon has been such a big interest of mine ever since the first ones came out.

It did make the them more interesting your right, some of them were tricky to solve though, got stuck on a few and it took me a bit of time to figure them out, but i enjoyed it none the less, it made the game last longer as well. i have heard of Dino crisis, but haven't been on it before, maybe its one to give a shot at some point, it looks classic. The 3rd witcher does look a lot more refined, i looked, i will definitely give it a try once i get a bit more time, its on the list of ones i want.

I enjoyed solving the riddles as well! Some of them were challenging and that made the game far more interesting!  I've also played another old game with riddles, Dino Crisis. It was a nice game.

If you liked the first two, you'll really enjoy the 3rd one!  The world is much bigger and more polished, the quests are deeper and the main characters are very interesting! I've completed a part of it and enjoyed it very much. Hopefully, I'll find the time to complete it some time soon! 

I like the Super Smash Bros Brawl game. Used to play it all the time on the Nintendo Wii.

I love gaming too. I like Skyrim, Witcher, Lego, Sims and Pokemon games most.

I enjoy gaming, i used to spend a load of time on them, although as of late i can't as much as i used to because i have commitments. i still do when i get some free time though. i actually enjoyed the silent hill and resident evil games, I've  been on all the resident evil ones, i liked solving the riddles in those to get to the next stage. been on the the witcher, i completed the first two, i haven't tried the other ones yet, i think i will in the future though. 

I also enjoy Sims 4 and some of the assassins creed games. I'm thinking of getting Inzoi when it becomes available for the Xbox - are you playing it on PC? Is it good?
