I came in from the garden and sat down to read and I kept feeling a dreadful itch down my cleavage, looking down to see if I'd been bitten by something, I found a small snail!
Well! That is just a bit too much of a close encounter with the wildlife! (At least you hadn't been bitten through).
I'm glad it wasn't a bite I had two on the sole of my foot last week and one on my ankle that I thought was going to turn nasty, luckily it didn't.
I once attended a friend's early evening outdoor party held in a field next to a river.
A bucolic setting, complete with relaxed-looking horses meandering around in the adjacent paddock.
Even though I wore a full-length skirt summer dress...by the time I got home; I realised that I had 3 (I suspect) horsefly bites across the back of my knees.
That was an uncomfortable (circa) 3 weeks while the bite sites started to settle down!
