Space, man!

Busy spaces are a difficult combination of sensory overload and randomness – I realise this now as a late-diagnosed autistic person. This isn’t to say I always want to be on my own. I just like to have plenty of notice about what’s coming. Invasions aren’t fun. Plus, being in my own orbit means I can float around in my own spacious head.

  • I negotiate Concrete Jungles pretty well; having had experience of regular trips to Belfast, and back, since 2015.

Driving, through congestion, is the next challenge.

Thank God I live out in the sticks, however. I can keep the urban histrionics at arms length.
