i think stress is more obvious for all when unwell, but I have noticed there is a huge leap that is far more exaggerated for my son who's 5. For several days before the physical symptoms of illness shows itself, I know something is brewing as his stress levels increase and he seeks out comfort and his learned social skills take a dive. It's almost like he has to shut down and return to "command prompt" before he can function property again. If that makes sense. And I was wondering if it's similar or noticed by other mums and dads with AS kids, or other individuals with AS themselves.
And then of course coping with the illness is difficult, I have to reassure him that he will feel better and I am left wondering if his experience of illness and pain is more strong as someone with AS. I know its different for every individual but I'm interested in others experiences.
