.....come into my life
I thought it'd be nice, as it's Easter Sunday and the clocks have changed to have a thread relating to all things sun. A place where we can share art, photography, music, poetry and prose, ideas and tidbits, things which give us huge bursts or little rays.
Here is a picture to start proceedings :
Here is a song which no-one will probably listen to:

Hello Sunshine by Super Furry Animals
(Although we all would much rather have human generated creativity, i cant stop anyone posting AI generated work. ..please just state if it's AI! Thank you!)
Awesome, lucky them. I wish I lived in America, I would love to see that.
Sunshine on a rainy day by Zoe.

The title of the song sums up the weather where I am perfectly. ️
My pics aren't uploading unfortunately so I'll add another song.
Sunshine on Leith by The Proclaimers. Awesome song.

Klaus Nomi, whose music (strange as it is) I would often play in the 80s:

A total solar eclipse will be taking place in America and Canada on the 8th!
Blondie - In The Sun.

And here's a lovely summery pic... ️
I'm glad you fought back! Im glad we have you back! And yes we ARE interested!
oh joyous day/ kaloo kalay!
I had meant RA, the sun god. I tried to clarify my non-elemental intent by posting the name of the Mayan sun god (Kinich Ahau if you're interested) but the interweb MOD machine decided to shut me down.
But I fought back, with a valiant and nail-biting appeal process (6 of them, I think)....golly....what tension! Ironic, deadpan, eye-roll bored emoji.
I did not paint these (would have proud to though). Here are the details:
Wedgwood - Franklin Porcelain - Royal Horticultural Society - Flowers of the Year - Limited Edition Plate Collection - 1977.
Yeh it’s nice to enjoy myself and also watch others having a good time. It makes me happy
People watching is one of the best things in the world
I love the smell of beer in the summer. Like to see people out and enjoying themselves too it’s a happy time.
Fun fact - photons of light are not made on the sun's surface but deep inside the star. So while it's commonly held that sunlight takes approximately 8 or so minutes to reach us, for individual photons it's actually much longer. It can take them thousands or tens of thousands of years to reach us.
I did a paper in middle school on the Pharoh who changed up the Sun religion and moved the capitol. He was despised and adored at once.
Akhenaten, Amenhotep IV, (I think). He started a sort of cultural revolution around the worship of the sun. He tried to introduce the concept that the force within the sun was the creative driving force behind creation, an early form of monotheism.
He felt it was the power that drove the sun that spawned creation, nit the object itself. So like how we think today. Married his sister. He also began a school of art whereby form allowed for the diverse shapes human came in.
I think he means both.
Wilhelm Reich buried his son's radium clock. All the girls that painted those clocks got sick. It is amazing stuff though.
.. ra, sis boom ba!
My thought was radium was named from the god RA because of it’s light giving properties.
Wow! That's fascinating. Everyone here is so wise. It really is true, you learn something new every day.
Best wishes,
Isadora.
