Aside from using the phrase "autism-friendly communities" is there anything else you could suggest as a name for these communities?
Dear RobBranston,
We wish you all the best with your new venture but I'd like to highlight one of the rules of the community: before posting a link to any research you are doing, you must have approval from the NAS. Please see the link below for information on how to obtain this approval thourgh the proper channels. This is to protect our community members which, I'm sure you will agree, is extremely important.
In the meantime, I have removed the reference to the survey from your post above, please do not post about this again until you have been granted approval.

Families Affected by Autism is a new charity that we have set up. We have a 9 year old son with autism and adhd and we struggle to find decent holidays. So we're looking to build our own centre offering a combination of holiday, respite and training. Please visit www.familiesaffectedbyautism.co.uk/

Autism Law Service
The important thing is we need a Law service that specializing and to protect us from ongoing discrimination, persecution, unfair treatment, bulling and much more, and we need one in every borough. If we don't take the steps to protect ourselves who will. We need the Law to be serious about protect us when we need it.
Of coarse this needs planning and even the raising of finances to pay for legal fees if necessary.
Its better for us to work towards our safety rather than end up been sorry.
More and more people with Autism are been arrested, the latest is a 9 year old boy with autism charged with terrorism for drawing picture.
As some of you know I have been a victim of discrimination and persecution, there's not much help out there when you need it.
Hi all,
Thanks for your suggestions, please keep them coming. It won't be on the forum, but rather as part of a wider initiative. Spectrum is a term we're considering. We'd love to use the phrase "challenge" but it's not something we're permitted to use for this.
Well as you said in another thread Longman, it would be found by Google search terms of content within the forum. So no matter what the name is, it wouldn't hinder entry. I think Anil A - Mod is possibly looking for a name that people with autism and their carers feel comfortable with and all those would know the word spectrum.
'Spectrum Corner' sounds like a nice idea as well.
Spectrum-Corner would cover it in that case.
I would suggest 'Autism Corner', or if any of the communities in question deal more specifically with people with Asperger's Syndrome, I would suggest 'Aspie's Corner'. If they dealt with other specific forms of autism, then anything suitable with the word 'Corner' at the end, may be suitable.
