desperate for help!

Hi there,

My twin brother liam 22, has aspergers syndrome. He lives with my dad in liverpool and i live in norfolk, i dont see him much due to the distance. my dad is really struggling with him as he tends to break things like cookers and windows. my dad has asked for help but no one is helping! my brother gets angry about not being able to get a girlfriend. he spends all day looking for one and comes back angry and a lashes out. i would just like some advice for my dad on how to deal with this and also what i can do to help him. is there anyone that could give me some useful information.

thanks, emma.

  • You could try to visit him or get him to come to you for a few days, this will give your dad a few days rest and give you an opportunity to have a heart to heart conversation with your brother. Suggest a hobby or a sport or a book to take his mind of things. Even a positive phone call once a week from you would be helpful, he may be lonely and needs to talk.
