After a restless night, bloated and uncomfortable as a result of too many sprouts, I find myself awake early and thinking about food!
So I'm curious what did you all have for Christmas dinner yesterday? If it wasn't your preferred choice what would you rather have had?
Did any of you not bother and eat the autistic way, the same as you do every other day?
Mine was as follows:
Accompanied by a couple of (large) glasses of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
I had planned to have Christmas pudding with coconut cream for afters but was too full after all of the above. Managed a Mr Kipling Christmas Slice instead.
There's plenty left over for today and hopefully I will manage to eat some Christmas pudding afterwards
Turkey crown with stuffing and bacon
Joint of beef
cabbage
pigs in blankets
carrots
homemade roast potatoes
gravy
prosecco
a load of cider
everything cooked by myself by the way
I had beans on toast. Loved it!
To suit our autistic household we had:
Roast chicken, roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots, boiled carrots, Swede and Brussels. This was accompanied by gravy and cranberry jelly.
For dessert I made a spicy fruit steamed pudding with custard.
Yes. I was already struggling in life prior to this. I had Autism and poor Mental Health. Now I have this too. It robs me of a lot of energy. But this is life for me now and I just have to face it.
Sorry to hear about your health condition. I hate things that affect in such a bad way like that. All you want to do is get on but it makes it a lot harder than it should be.
Turkey.
Ham.
Roast Beef.
Roasties.
Mash.
Stuffing.
Cocktail sausages.
Gravy.
Diluted orange juice.
Soon, I'll head to my current neighbour, for lunch.
No IBS here. I have that kind of thing but it's a bit more serious than IBS and it's life long.
Sounds delicious! When I have an IBS attack rice is my go to diet as it's kind to the stomach.
I had Rice, Tomatoes and Turkey. I can't eat a traditional Christmas Dinner due to a health condition.
I like how you had 2 types of sprouts.
Today, not much!

Unfortunately, the roast potatoes were rather well done (inedible), but apart from that, our Christmas dinner was lovely. I believe the plan for today is to have what is left of the turkey with clementine-glazed gammon.
Well I had some sprouts. Yummy yummy
I had a little turkey, some vegetables, gravy and mint chocolate afterwards.
My IBS is a little triggered, in some considerable pain, but no upset tummy thankfully lol, hopefully it won't come to that.
Now Christmas is over I'm going back to my soup and bread diet.
I had a venison burger and peas for lunch, the same as I do every day.
