Videos that make you laugh.

Laughter is the best medicine. Stuck out tongue

So this thread is for the videos that make you laugh.

I'm a big fan of the 80s series Only Fools and Horses... I watch it all throughout the year and even on days I feel lower than low it still makes me laugh.

This is my favourite scene/video from the entire series. I read in David Jason's autobiography that he only just kept a straight face because Buster Merryfields gasps of horror were so funny.

This is another thing I love to watch and never fails to make me laugh.

He was a sheer comedic genius. My mum loved him in everything he was ever in.

  • I see there's news articles lately that it's the 40th anniversary of Auf Wiedersehen Pet next year www.google.com/.../ Thumbsup I was a child in the northeast when it started in 1983 and got into it, everybody seemed to be watching it around there at the time Slight smile

  • That home for actors must be quite an interesting and entertaining place to be at times, I imagine Slight smile

  • I keep tabs on Richard, he’s in a home for actors, Mike Yarwood was another resident along with many others I could go into, there was another spinoff from Man About The House, it was Robins Nest, Tessa Wyatt played his wife with Tony Britton playing her father, his daughter is Fern.

  • Yes, despite Dave Allen being a 'practising atheist', I liked that he always ended his program with that.

I used to love watching 'Man About The House' with the dashing Richard O'Sullivan, or so I had thought at the time. Even in my pre-pubescent years, it seems I had developed an obsession with the male species. Laughing

I remember watching George & Mildred too.

  • I always thought Dave Allen was brilliant in a time when Ireland was as we knew it, β€˜ in the troubles’, he always finished his program with, β€œmay your god go with you.”
Someone I always found funny was D*ck Emery.

I have recently watched all the series of  β€˜Man About The House’ and the β€˜spin-off’ β€˜George & Mildred.

  • Great clips!  Thank you Joy

  • I particularly liked watching Dave Allen on TV in 80s+90s e.g.him talking about The Clock youtu.be/WbTqxycsQ2Y I haven't worn a watch this millenium, partly as I'm prone to getting rashes and also I've disliked the idea of being 'tied to time'. I think I remember my Geology teacher at school saying he couldn't wear digital watches as they would always malfunction as his body's electrical charge/waves interfered with them too much Sweat smile

  • I agree that laughter is the best medicine.

Growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, my taste in comedy and humour was influenced by my parents:

    Dave Allen (Irish comedian)

    Kenny Everett

    Monty Python

    The Goodies

    Morcambe and Wise

    French & Saunders

    The Two Ronnies

    Victoria Wood

    Plus... numerous sitcoms

  • That's a lot of Elvis records. I'm jealous haha.

Growing up Elvis was every girls crush. I can remember buying his singles with my pocket money, and how my parents hated him and said his music wasn't proper music. Hehe my father got quite livid at the mention of Elvis Presley.

I also remember standing in the rain in a long line of people with my father waiting to see the Love Me Tender film. My father accompanied me as he didn't want me out alone, though I seem to recall he moaned a great deal about the whole affair.

I still have many of my original Elvis records and all of his films. He will always be the King to me.

  • I started Blackaddar and it sort fell off my radar. I'll have to go back and revisit. thanks

    I also liked BBT.

  • I love your Elvis Presley picture disc vinyl.

I have those exact ones as well! This is my entire Elvis vinyl collection, I started buying them in 2015 and have been collecting them ever since Blush

I listen to them on a regular basis I love vinyl!

  • I love that scene and that episode and the second part. Missy had some really good moments in that episode as well Blush

Peter Capaldi was such an underrated Doctor, he had some amazing episodes and got some of the best speeches IMO.

  • I have some Elvis discs, I would love to visit Gracelands but that length of flight is a bit too much.
Have you ever seen the young Canadian lad David Thilbault who does a good β€˜Blue Christmas’?

  • Wonderful pictures Roy. Elvis was not only gorgeous and talented but also a fascinating person. He was a true case of from rags to riches. The King!

  • Home Alone 1 and 2 were so funny lol Joy
