I am doing a crossword and have just learned that Cooper was a barrel maker.

I also know Wainwright are wheel makers.

So if you have any others to add - not just traditional English speaking names - any as a matter of interest, please feel free to do so below. Of course don't give any personal information away! (And I won't be checking if anyone is telling any porkies....)

    It's weird. You'd think it's nonsense, but I think statistically nominative determinism (the idea that you're more likely to end up in a profession that fits your name) is actually a thing.

    I'm sure she's terrific at her job, but there's no way her name didn't help her at least a little bit when they were hiring.
