I'm so happy to see this post pop up even though it's a year old because I love to play video games to unwind, which makes me happy.
I found that over the past year I enjoy games that are a little creative. I've always played the sims but over the last 5 years I've focused on building and designing rather than playing a household. I've recently started playing planet coaster (I won't pay for planet coaster 2 yet) and that has been fun but I noticed some of the in game sounds can be overstimulating.
I forgot I already replied to this, but that was 10 months ago (apparently) so I've got an update!
I'm currently playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - and I'm going to give my thoughts, since I've nowhere else to say this really. I had always wanted to play this because I've heard it was highly regarded and it's a genre called "Metroidvania". I love the Metroid games, so I thought this would be great.
My first impressions though were that this was a weird game. Maybe my expectations were off, but it seemed really hard for me to get into - I kept bouncing off of it many times before I persevered. It doesn't explain anything to you, so it didn't feel very well designed, I kept having to look online to understand what was going on. However, now I've really gotten into it and can see the appeal.
I have literally just finished playing RDR2 after a long time away from it. I’m also playing Liberty Falls zombies map on Call of Duty.
I just finished Spiderman 2 on the PS5 which was also good. I like using the costume for Miles Morales from the Into the Spider verse films because it moves in exactly the same way. Another technical nerdy thing I love - it's a huge game but it loads in 1 or 2 seconds, no loading screens ever!
Life is strange is one of my favourites, the storyline is incredible and has stayed with me since I first played it around a year ago, and the soundtrack is so amazing too. Definitely not a whimsical, lighthearted game but a really moving and memorable one!
I'm currently going through an on-and-off playthrough of Persona 3. Maybe I should pick up on playing SIGNALIS someday, although I think it feels terrible to play with a keyboard...
I love video games! It's the one interest from my childhood that has carried over to adulthood, and watching my kids get interested too makes me happy.
I completed Metroid Dread finally a couple of months ago, now I'm playing Psychonauts 2. I play The Witcher 3 on and off as well (it's too long a game to play continuously for me, I've got limited time as a parent). I also get to play the latest Kirby game co-op with my daughter.
I'm going to try and find time to play Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom one day, I completed Breath of the Wild and loved it ( took me a year and a half to achieve that though!)
Currently Final Fantasy VII Remake, before that Project Zomboid, I rotate games but I've been mostly playing online games/mobas.
Long time GuildWars 2 necromancer here, but currently playing the Lego Lord of the Rings games as I find they're great for a quick burst of dopamine!

If YouTube is a passion, you should try it out and see how it goes. I just use my channel to share my interests and am also planning on doing a podcast soon about my experiences with autism and clinical depression
I love the 3DS. I thought it was the best DS console out of them all.
Your YouTube channel sounds cool. I thought of doing something like that but I never have yet.
