3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • 1) A new (£2.50 at the supermarket) clockwork kitchen timer shaped like a goofy chicken worked well (no more need to stand by breakfast poached eggs as they cook in the chill morning kitchen).

    2) A rare treat; for today the only entries in the calendar are tasks self-determined (no external in-person appointments, no virtual meetings with people, no online courses, and no telephone calls booked).

    3) In our area of the UK, today's weather forecast shows the Persephone Days are behind us.  Ten hours of daylight are here!  Better still, today our area is forecast 10 hours of sunshine.  Time to begin sowing some seeds under cover (certain of the vegetables, fruits, herbs, and edible flowers).  The seed packets are assembled ready ...paused, until now; that we are bathed in 10+ hours of daylight.
