3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

Parents
  • Put my new large rectangular British wicker shopping basket to the test.  Very successful.  It comfortably handled plenty of heavy store cupboard tins, bottles and packages.  Plus, it provided a large flat area of support for more delicate bakery products and fruit & veg (no more squashed bread rolls).

Our household had planned a Winter Picnic, but enjoyed our picnic by the living room fire instead (3 deg. C. ... versus 16 deg C.; no contest).  A lovely treat of: Scotch Egg, Smoked Cheese, Coleslaw, Lamb's Lettuce, Ginger Beer, Walnut Cake and Coffee.

After our indoors "picnic", we wrapped up in warm outdoor clothes and went for a 2 hour walk by a small river.  Saw lots of early Spring bulbs, Ducks and Moorhen.  Had the place totally to ourselves.  Enjoyed the location, so we plan to return, later in the year, for a super-early Breakfast Picnic - as we found there was a comfy metal park-style bench seat with a back (so you wouldn't need to carry a picnic rug or deckchairs).
