3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one. 

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash) 

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!) 

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • 1. Went to the opticians (not one of the 3 things). The lady sorting out my new lenses kept on getting interrupted by other staff with questions. She apologised and said she was the manager, so it can't be helped. I said that I admired her ability to switch between tasks and topics because I was autistic I can't do that. She seemed genuinely interested and asked me a few questions about it before we resumed with the lenses.

    2. Making the plunge with varifocals. I don't get them for a week, but I hope that I can get used to them.

    3. Loving Patience on Channel 4 still - we are four episodes in and my wife likes it too.

    Don’t worry about the varifocals. Despite all the qualms people have about them, I tried mine on in the car outside the optician and drove home in them. Adjusted to them very quickly indeed.

    Patience was great and has inspired me to rewatch the original (Astrid et Raphaelle). Well worth a watch when you finish Patience.
