3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

Parents
  • 1. My first unsupervised volunteer outing with my assigned young person (who is in need of support in social situations) went ok. We went to a local art studio for a workshop. We got to play with chalk pastels and gold leaf, and there was snacks and coffee. It turned out the artist running the workshop has an autistic adult son, and suspects she may have ADHD herself. ( Her son is in his twenties and is now thriving in his job working with a heritage stained glass repair company).

    2. I'm off work for a week, as I'm going to a writing retreat on a country estate with a small group of others.

    3. My brother is driving me down to where the retreat is happening so I don't have to negotiate public transport on a Sunday. (I will hopefully be able to manage the reverse journey by public transport).
