3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • With the USA and having taken the dog home, I really need this thread today - sorry if it is a bit long!

    1. I took the dog back, and obviously she was ecstatic and was bounding all over the place. But I went to the loo before my trip back home and found her still waiting outside of the toilet for me. "I wish you lived here too, with all my other humans!" (I don't speak fluent dog, but I'm pretty sure that was what she was saying Joy)
    2. The Cure are possibly going to hit #1 in the UK album charts. Quite an acheivement for a nearly 50 year old band with brand new material and the notoriously difficult fourteenth album Joy. The 13 year old me who fell in love with them would be spinning in their grave at me saying #1, but it isn't about sales or popularity - it is the fact that my long time favorite band are still relevent, and not just out of nostalgia. They have many new young fans which to me is brilliant. (Probably nothing to do with The Cure, but today I saw a teenaged black goth girl, and I wanted to shout that's brilliant to her - obviously, I didn't)
    3. The most important one - and keeping me off that precipice of despair. Making new friends at such a (nearly) old age.
  • I love The Cure. Their song Friday I'm In Love is one of my all time favourites and my go to feel good song. It never fails to put me in a good mood. Slight smile
