3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • 1) I had a big sorting session over the weekend where I got out and rearranged all of my books (on the Saturday) and all of my CDs and vinyl (on the Sunday). It was a long and tiring process but ultimately rewarding as I got to look through everything and it looks amazing now, all dusted off and back on the shelves where the books and CDs belong.

    2) I worked in the family bakery this morning. It's a good day for me so I felt confident enough to be out in the shop front with some of the customers. It was a petites filles 8th birthday today so I made her a special birthday cake, strawberry icing (requested) and seeing the big smile on her face when she saw it was my high of the day.

    3) There's a bit of rain falling right now so I've got my umbrella ready and I'm ready to go out for an afternoon walk with my grand-mère. She's 92 but moves much quicker than I ever could.
