3 Good Things (Redux)

Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.

From Darkness to Light. Smiley

1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)

2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)

3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.

  • 1. Our cats are being really quite lovely and "coming along nicely" in their second year of adapting to us, even the little one with the bad attitude has thawed and takes a bit of joy in her life..

    2. I FINALLY, after a preposterously long delay and hunting about for suitable parts, have a nice smooth working throttle on my nearly forty year old motorcycle.I can see a happy end to this maintenance period hoving into view at last!

    3. Although there are still people on this forum who's passionate belief in certain ideals causes them to make (overly?) strong representations and become embroiled argument, the recent eruption was conducted seemingly with a little less blind hatred and slightly more restraint by all involved. Our conduct was still a long way from "ideal", and some people still ended up expressing an urge to leave, but the usual suspects (I'll include myself in that group, although I'm working on it) definitely showed a bit more restraint and maturity than they have in previous threads of that nature. We can learn to do better it would appear. That's a good thing.
